SAS today released its global results for the 2010 financial year, posting $US2.43 billion in revenue, up 5.2 per cent on last year.
Business analytics was a particularly strong performer for the vendor, recording a 26 percent revenue rise. SAS provides analytics for many other sectors, including education, energy and utilities, financial services, government, healthcare and life sciences.
Customer wins in Australia included Telstra and Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
In a statement announcing the results, SAS chief executive Jim Goodnight attributes the growth to "the recognition that the current explosion of data can be analysed to provide insights never before possible."
