POLY BOLSTERS CONSUMER BUSINESS WITH APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR OF CONSUMER FOR ASIA PACIFIC

Poly’s APAC appointment to focus on regional expansion and growth of gaming and stereo business

SYDNEY – 5 June, 2019 – Plantronics, Inc. (NYSE: PLT) (“Poly”), a global communications company that powers human connection and collaboration, today announced the appointment of Peter Petrides as Director of Consumer, Asia Pacific (APAC).

Based in Australia, Petrides will oversee the consumer business for Poly across the region. He will be responsible for implementing the organisation’s Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies and sales coverage models to both customers and partners with Poly’s expansive offering of products and solutions. Petrides’ new role enables him to focus on Poly expansion across Asia Pacific as well as growing Poly’s stereo and gaming brand in market.

In particular, our RIG Gaming headsets have taken home trophies for the MCV 2017 and 2018 Awards for Audio Accessories Brand of the Year and 2018 Best Audio Brand of the Year at the Australian Games Award.”

Petrides has been part of the Plantronics team since 2007 and brings more than 20 years’ experience in fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), consumer electronics (CE) and information technology (IT) in APAC. He most recently held the position of Director of Sales for APAC and Director of Consumer in ANZ, responsible for international sales plans for Plantronics’ consumer/prosumer and gaming product divisions. Prior to that, he was National Sales Manager for consumer products in ANZ, where he successfully grew and maintained RIG Gaming’s position as the undisputed market leader in gaming headsets in Australia for over a year. Petrides reports to Laurie Dennis, Head of Global Consumer Sales.
