Kiwi becomes Dell VP

Lark joins PC maker

Expatriate New Zealander Andy Lark, who was Sun Microsystems' corporate communications manager before a stint with start-up LogLogic, has joined Dell as vice president of marketing and communications.

Lark will report to Dell chief marketing officer Mark Jarvis. According to The Register, Lark, a keen blogger, "should fit right in with Dell's marketing plans". Dell has recently launched IdeaStorm, an online forum where users can give the company feedback.

In 2003, Lark won the inaugural Industry New Zealand (now New Zealand Trade and Enterprise) World Class New Zealander award for expats.

Lark, who is originally from Ellerslie, Auckland, joined Sun in 2002 after working for Nortel Networks.
