Oracle in $30m hardware store project

Placemakers implements a new ERP system

Placemakers is seeking staff for an Oracle ERP implementation it says is in the “$30 million-plus” price range.

The hardware retailer is advertising for a project director, change implementation manager, business change facilitator and process change manager. According to an advertisement for those positions in the New Zealand Herald, the design of the system is complete and Placemakers is "now entering the implementation phase”.

The rollout will involve “the retraining of a large proportion of our 2,800 employees” and “is likely to be one of New Zealand’s largest systems implementations for some time”, according to the advertisement.
