JOHANNESBURG (03/17/2004) - Channel Data has obtained the exclusive southern Africa distribution rights for MADSolutions' Attachment Executive (AE) and Attachment Executive Server Side (AESS) range of e-mail capacity management products.
Channel Data has already classified AE and AESS as Open Distribution products (out-of-the-box), which subsequently make it available to the distributor's Open Distribution Channel Programme partners.
"The Attachment Executive offerings adhere to what our customers are asking for -- simple, uncomplicated and cost-effective e-mail capacity management," comments Amit Parbhucharan, technology marketing director at Channel Data.
AESS runs on Microsoft Corp.'s Exchange Server and caters for organizations that want to achieve centralized governance and policy management, while AE runs on PCs, proactively, reducing mailbox sizes for longer e-mail retention, as well as shrinking PST files size.
"Keeping a company's messaging environment lean and robust is key to meeting the demands of today's business. Our attachment management solutions will help companies ensure this is possible by keeping e-mail database sizes under control," comments Steven Geisel, president of MADSolutions.
"We at MADSolutions are very pleased to have Channel Data provide a means by which our software can be utilized by the people and companies of southern Africa," he adds.
Together with MADSolutions, Channel Data is offering the Attachment Executive range at discounted price to local educational institutes, schools, NGOs and community-based organizations, while corporates and SoHos will benefit from a special launch price.
Channel Data is also introducing a local Attachment Executive training program, which will enable its resellers to competently position and sell the products to companies or individual users.
Concludes Parbhucharan: "I strongly recommend that organizations using MS Exchange download an evaluation version of AESS at www.madsolutions.com and we guarantee that after running the software (in a special analysis mode) that they will find a 60 to 80 percent potential reduction in e-mail capacity, which results in faster MS Exchange backups and recoveries, streamlined user mailbox backups, and transparent access to older and non-productive e-mail attachments."
