FRAMINGHAM (09/15/2003) - The annual TechXNY IT conference opens Monday in New York, featuring a myriad of training "boot camps" as well as the PC Expo trade show and its more than 200 exhibitors.
Also being held at the show is the OutsourceWorld Conference and Exhibition, which is now part of TechXNY. OutsourceWorld runs Tuesday through Thursday.
Held in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, TechXNY runs Monday through Wednesday, while the PC Expo trade show runs Sept. 16 through 18.
Kevin B. Rollins, president and CEO of Dell Inc., will present an opening keynote speech Tuesday, discussing innovation, growth and maturity in IT. On Sept. 17, keynote speaker Hector Ruiz, the president and CEO of Advanced Micro Devices Inc., will talk about customer demands, computing trends and engineering and technology developments driving the next wave of technology innovation.
Educational sessions on wireless security and best practices for a wireless LAN, outsourcing, disaster recovery for Microsoft Windows, network storage and real time collaboration will be offered at TechXNY, as well as training boot camps for Windows 2003, IT cost optimization, Linux and security.
Carol Wyatt, global offering executive for distributed systems and solutions at outsourcing vendor Electronic Data Systems Corp. in Plano, Texas, will present Tuesday's opening keynote speech at OutsourceWorld on desktop agility. Jack Wilson, CEO of business process outsourcing at Accenture Ltd., will give Wednesday's keynote speech on delivering growth and sustaining value through outsourcing.
