JOHANNESBURG (04/05/2004) - Oracle SA, South Africa's division of Oracle Corp., will hold an Open Day to showcase the company's business application software set, Oracle E-Business Suite, in Midrand on 6 May.
The event is designed to give members of the business community a full view of all of Oracle's business software.
"These days the decision to invest in ICT lies with the CEO or MD of a company, irrespective of its size," says Deon Els, Oracle Channel Alliances and Sales director.
"This Open Day will give business decision-makers from companies across various industries an opportunity to investigate the business benefits of software. This ranges from financials and human resources to supply chain and logistics."
He says the Open Day will be an opportunity for visitors to network and discuss common challenges they face in the ICT business.
Els says that visitors will be able to see Oracle's products in action, with demonstrations from Oracle and some of its main partners.
"Many medium and smaller enterprises are unaware that business software that is designed for very large organizations is now available for businesses of any size," he adds.
"We'll also demonstrate the often-unknown features and secrets of Oracle applications. The exhibitors will open visitors' minds to the relevance of our solutions across a variety of business sectors and highlight the flexibility of our small, medium and large business solutions."
