Focus Softnet opens in NZ, via franchisee

Focus Softnet New Zealand will act as a hub to promote the company’s products

Indian software company, Focus Softnet, has entered the New Zealand market, via a franchisee that will promote the company’s range of enterprise and vertical-specific software to customers in New Zealand

The company says ICT professionals Syed Safdar Ali and Fateh Ali will launch Focus Softnet New Zealand, which will act as a hub to promote the company’s products and offer a full range of services to customers across New Zealand.

Focus Softnet New Zealand will promote the brand through participation in exhibitions, vertical-specific events, roadshows, seminars and through digital marketing and social media.

Focus Softnet CEO, North America and APAC  Mohammed Jawad Ali Khan,  said: “We felt it is important to have a local team with a tremendous wealth of experience in the ICT and software industry and Fateh Ali and his team were a perfect partner to drive our business in the country… Syed Safdar Ali and his team have the market knowledge, experience and expertise in deploying enterprise and mid-market software solutions across verticals such as government, manufacturing, retail, trading and healthcare across New Zealand.”

Hee gave no details on the two franchisees, and Computerworld was unable to find any via a web search. However there is a Focus Softnet NZ page on Facebook. It does not throw any light on the NZ operation but indicates that the local operation started in August with a ‘grand opening in Auckland’, and provides a link to the Focus Softnet NZ website, http://www.focussoftnet.nz, which is invalid.

Focus Softnet says it offers a wide-range of business applications that it customises with region-specific features to reduce the time of implementation.

The company was founded in 1992 and how has 27 offices in 17 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and North America.
