Promapp goes to university: in the USA

Promapp, an Auckland based provider of cloud-based business process management (BPM) software, has won a contract to provide its software as a service to Michigan State University in the US

Promapp, an Auckland based provider of cloud-based business process management (BPM) software, has won a contract to provide its software as a service to Michigan State University in the US.

Promapp said the university’s Infrastructure Planning and Facilities (IPF) Group would use its SaaS to streamline business processes and capture day-to-day operational information in a standard format.

“The Promapp software will also provide a central repository of processes and procedures and will be rolled out to all IPF group staff over the next year,” Promapp said.

“The move follows IPF being introduced to Promapp through Promapp partner, Orion Development Group, which has been providing BPM training to Michigan State University for more than 20 years.”

Kelly Feister, building services business office manager at IPF, said the group needed a simple, straight-forward approach to process management. “Promapp’s software will help us improve the clarity, accessibility, and consistent execution of our business processes.”

IPF’s chief of planning and organisational performance, Chad Stirrett, said IPF used the Baldrige Performance Excellence criteria as a model for process improvement, and Promapp would serve as a platform for continuous improvement of processes and procedures.

Top Ten gong for Promapp

Earlier this month Promapp was ranked fourth in the Technology Investment Network’s Top Ten Hot Emerging Companies for 2017, which represents the companies with the highest dollar value increase in revenue in the past year.

The company was also recently recognised as one of the five Hot Vendors in Business Process Management 2017 in a report prepared by Aragon Research, which said: “Promapp’s secret sauce is its ability to be easy enough for beginners and business teams to be successful pretty quickly. The collaborative nature is a key feature, along with the ability to manage change and process variants.”

Promapp CEO, Ivan Seselj credited the company’s strong growth to increased market interest in cloud-based process improvement solutions. “More organisations are understanding the important role process management and improvement play in driving innovation, staff engagement and competitive advantage,” He said.

“Leading C-suite executives are now making it a priority to create an environment that enables teams to drive effective change management and to ensure that critical process information is captured and presented in formats that teams across the business will actually use.”
