Vodafone is offering businesses that want to take up its ultra-fast fibre broadband the services of a fibre install manager who will take responsibility for overseeing the installation process from start to finish.
Vodafone says the move follows a customer survey that found respondents wanting most of all to feel comfortable about the process.
Vodafone’s enterprise director, Ken Tunnicliffe, said: “What really shone through [in the survey responses] was [the desire for] a personal relationship, someone they could turn to, who would manage the process end to end and take accountability.”
Vodafone said every business signing up to a Vodafone Business Fibre plan would receive, free of charge, “a dedicated fibre install manager, who takes the responsibility for set up … [and] who will be with you every step of the way, managing any risks and minimising interruptions.”
It said the fibre install managers had already worked closely with a pilot group of businesses to test the concept, ensuring a steady stream of proactive communication about next steps throughout the install and ensuring everything stayed on track.
Vodafone’s head of enterprise care, Bryan Munro, said feedback from businesses participating in the trial had been overwhelmingly positive. “[Businesses] had trust and confidence that they would be notified of what was going on, and kept in the loop for timeframes.”
