FRAMINGHAM (09/19/2003) - Security software vendors warned of a new worm that targets Windows systems and is being sent within e-mail messages purporting to be Microsoft Corp. security bulletins. The worm, dubbed W32.Swen, exploits a flaw in Microsoft's Internet Explorer software and was designed to mass-mail itself after infecting systems. F-Secure Corp. in Helsinki gave Swen its highest alert rating.
