FRAMINGHAM (10/22/2003) - Stockholm-based Pyrosequencing AB, in conjunction with its merger with Personal Chemistry i Uppsala AB in Uppsala, Sweden, has appointed a new management team. Pyrosequencing's Jeff Bork continues as chairman of the board and CEO (chief executive officer), although current Pyrosequencing president Erik Walldén has requested to be relieved from his duties. Hans Johansson, president of Personal Chemistry, transitions to new president and chief operating officer of the merged company. Jon-Sverre Schanche, vice president of R&D at Personal Chemistry, continues his role at the new company, while Scott Carr, head of Personal Chemistry's American sales company, becomes president of the merged U.S. subsidiaries.
