SAN FRANCISCO (10/03/2003) - EMC Corp. this week announced it has begun shipping three new NAS devices designed to extend the storage vendor's appeal to departmental and small and midsize business users. The company is attempting to expand its focus beyond the datacenter. The first product, NetWin 200, is based on Microsoft Corp. Windows Storage Server 2003 software. EMC also announced a "gateway" device that can be used to turn EMC's Clariion CX600 and CX400 arrays into NAS devices.
