HP head aims for stronger company profile

Expect to see a stronger focus on company profile from Hewlett-Packard New Zealand under newly appointed managing director Bob Cattell.

Cattell takes over from Greg Barton, who has resigned to pursue family interests.

“I don’t foresee any major changes in the way we do business in New Zealand,” he says.

“Worldwide, we’re heading towards a single structure to better leverage our products and services. As this filters beyond corporate headquarters, it will become an evolutionary way of business in New Zealand.

“There’ll be more leverage of products and services between the two main business areas to deliver a flexible it structure to our major clients.”

He says the New Zealand subsidiary will have a very strong focus this year on the soho market, leveraging its printer success against the new Pavilion line of pcs.
