Microsoft, HP announce worldwide tour

Responding to the growth of the Internet and intranets, Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard (HP) have announced a 32-city worldwide tour featuring Internet and intranet enterprise solutions.

Starting this week, the two companies will present case studies and demonstrations that explain Microsoft's BackOffice, SQL Server, and Internet Information Service (IIS), and HP's Interconnected Workgroup products as a platform for Internet and intranet use.

"Companies of all sizes now realise they can and must make the best use of messaging, publishing and database solutions -- especially over the Internet -- to keep their competitive edge," said Rich Tong, director of marketing, business systems division, at Microsoft.
