Motorola's Computer Group has announced that Apple Australia will sell its Power PC-based Windows NT server products.

The distribution deal is aimed at supporting the needs of Apple corporate customers who have Macintoshes on the desktop, but who may be considering Windows NT servers on the back end, says Steven Vamos, vice-president and managing director of Apple Asia/Australia. "The Motorola servers provide customers with excellent price/performance due to the power of the 604 PowerPC processors," he says.

The Series E servers will sell for US$11,000 to US$19,000.

Motorola, based in Schaumberg, Illinois, can be reached on the World Wide Web at http://www.motorola.com. Apple Australia, based in Sydney, can be reached at http://www.apple.com.au.
