Reuters Business Information has launched version 2.0 of its online business information service, Business Briefing.
Business Briefing includes content of 2000 publications from around the world, featuring some of the world's most prominent daily newspapers along with reporting from Reuters' own journalists.
Version 2.0 provides users with a customisable interface that allows users to create and save specific searches. With Version 2.0, users can access full-text articles from English, French, German, Spanish, Danish, Dutch, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese and Swedish newspapers. Chinese and Japanese versions of the product will follow within three months, according to company officials.
The product features over 10 million articles, a 10-year archive, information on 24,000 publicly traded companies and 10,000 news pictures. Business Briefing, updated in real-time, is available through Reuters private network, rather than on the Internet. Subscriptions cost £490 per 20 hours of online usage.
Version 2.0 is available on the Microsoft Windows 95, Windows NT, Windows 3.1 and Windows for Workgroups 3.11 software platforms. Reuters Business Information, is a division of Reuters, and was established to develop a range of online services leveraging the Reuters global news organisation.
