Shockwave coming in Netscape Navigator

Netscape plans to incorporate Macromedia's Shockwave plug-in and Fireworks Java-based animation API into Netscape Navigator.

Netscape plans to incorporate Macromedia's Shockwave plug-in and Fireworks Java-based animation API into Netscape Navigator before the end of the year.

Shockwave enables developers to view and interact with text, video, audio and graphics on the World Wide Web, including streaming from voice to CD-quality audio. Fireworks, a Java application programming interface with implementations for Windows 95, Windows 3.1, Windows NT, Power Macintosh, Macintosh 68k and Unix, will be available in the Galileo version of Netscape Navigator which is currently in beta.
