Telecom Xtra boss Chris Tyler was in the US last week pitching to several telcos his vision of a value-added Internet architecture for the future.

Where other Internet providers are treating architectural components as segments in isolation, Tyler is talking a tightly-bundled package of components such as billing, publishing, electronic commerce and other business solutions.

He’s believed to have specifically targeted several of the Baby Bells in the US.

A successful pitch would have implications for Telecom as an international provider of such services.
