Possibly the most ambitious New Zealand Web project yet goes live tomorrow, when National Business Review publisher Barry Colman flicks the switch on a preview of NBR Business Centre Online.
The centre, developed at a cost of more than $300,000 by Clearfield Communications, will house more than 26 separate business-related sites, including facilities for company searches, online share transactions, online banking and classified advertising which can be directly maintained by the advertiser.
Although the full list of service and content providers will not be known until launch, the fact that Clearfield clients such as the Bank of New Zealand and Air New Zealand have password-protected test sites at IP addresses adjacent to those of the main NBR and Liberty Group pages would suggest their involvement.
