The National Business Review site has launched a service which gives Internet users access to every New Zealand story filed by Radio New Zealand’s 90 news staff and correspondents.
An “Instant News” section was launched at midnight last night. It carries news stories which are automatically transferred onto the NBR Business Online Centre every half hour, every day. It is estimated more than 52,000 stories will be filed each year.
Centre Manager Graeme Colman says users will be able to access RNZ stories in full without charge for the first time on the Internet. All RNZ content is being archived on the Centre - and will be available for serach by key word, subject, day month and year.
The Centre has also introduced pay-for access to the written bulletins RNZ provides for broadcast to scores of radio stations nationwide.
Next Friday the Centre also introduces a comprehensive Sports service - drawing information from Reuters in New Zealand and worldwide, Dow Jones Telerate and RNZ.
The new Instant News service can be found on the Centre site at http//www.nbr.co.nz.
