Acer's net income for the first half of this year dropped 32.7% compared with figures for the same period a year ago, company officials announced on Saturday.
The company reported a net income of $NT1.15 billion ($US39.3 million) for the first six months of this year, as opposed to a figure of $NT1.71 billion from twelve months previous.
Acer officials had warned last month that profits would suffer due to losses from both the company's US operations and a joint semiconductor venture between Acer and Texas Instruments.
Back in July, Acer announced accumulated sales figures for the first half of this year of $NT30.2 billion, a two percent slip on last year's figure of $NT30.8 billion.
