Oracle's Lane joins Marimba board

Ray Lane, president and chief operating officer of Oracle, has joined Marimba's board of directors. 'As Marimba transitions from being an up-and-coming player to an established leader in enterprise software solutions, I am honored to play a role in the company's evolution,' Lane said this week.

"As Marimba transitions from being an up-and-coming player to an established leader in enterprise software solutions, I am honored to play a role in the company's evolution," Lane said this week.

Lane has been at Oracle since 1992, where he has worked to extend the company's technology to vertical and horizontal applications and services for network computing. Lane also heads Oracle's management committee, which oversees major product and market decisions and ensures that they are implemented consistently worldwide.

Before joining Oracle, Lane was a senior vice president at Booz Allen & Hamilton's Information Systems Group.
