No NZ Quicken Y2K

News reports from the US about Quicken's lack of Y2K compliance are not relevant in New Zealand, says Intuit's product manger, Thea Zeilinga. 'The version of Quicken sold in New Zealand isn't the same as the one sold in the US.' Zeilinga says the reports focus on a class action law suit brought by a New York law firm against Intuit.

News reports from the US about Quicken's lack of Y2K compliance are not rele-vant in New Zealand, says Intuit's product manger, Thea Zeilinga. "The version of Quicken sold in New Zealand isn't the same as the one sold in the US."

Zeilinga says the reports focus on a class action law suit brought by a New York law firm against Intuit. The action refers to Quicken versions 5 and 6 and their inability to cope with transactions after December 31, 1999.

"It only affects the online banking function of the application. New Zealand versions don't have that and are fully year 2000-compliant."
