Anite Networks will not be appointing a New Zealand-based managing director to replace Tom Meijer, who resigned last month.

Anite Pacific CEO Laurie Stevens, who will run the local operation from Australia, says New Zealand always reported to Australia anyway.

He says the company has changed in the past six months to become services-focused. Half of Anite's revenue now comes from services, whereas last year it was 70% solutions and 30% services.

Anite has increased its number of service offerings from eight to 26. A major new service is SmartView, which is a reactive management tool as opposed to being permanently connected.
