Got any questions about year 2000 issues? Ask Jocelyn Amon, our year 2000 specialist. Amon is hosting a Y2K Hotline in both Computerworld and in our online publication (www.idg.co.nz).
You'll find her articles and others she has chosen on this site and in Computerworld in future issues. We want to hear from you. Email her your questions or points you want discussed. Amon hopes to be able to host a moderated discussion group on our Web site. Topics discussed by the group will be summarised and presented in Computerworld.
The Y2K Hotline will provide a focal point for those in the computer industry to contribute opinions, information, feedback, queries, etc, in relation to the year 2000 problem. It will also be useful for publishing articles of wide interest, such as embedded systems issues, the real facts behind news stories, methodologies and fixes that work, contingency planning, regular reports on infrastructure status and any other topics that are of interest. Your feedback, suggestions and active participation in this forum is encouraged.
We will respect your privacy if you do not want to be identified, so don't be embarrassed about any concerns you might want to air. The aim is to help businesses approach and resolve year 2000 issues with confidence. A question in Computerworld or on our Web site might inspire answers from others. Write now to Jocelyn Amon at firstname.lastname@example.org, with a copy to email@example.com.
