Local ad agency Colenso's Web site has earned a rare rave from the developer of its core technology.
The site is based on Macromedia's Flash 3, and was named Shocked Site of the Day on Macromedia's Web site. The developer, which is usually quite conservative in its briefs about winning sites, describes the Colenso site as "simply amazing".
The Colenso site at http://www.colenso.co.nz, was created by Auckland Web development company Webmedia, and is the first New Zealand site to be recognised in the three years Macromedia has been running the Shocked Site of the Day award.

"Colenso, a site created by Webmedia for an ad agency in New Zealand, is one of the most excellent Flash sites we've seen to date. Simply amazing. Not only does this site use Flash in a highly creative manner, but it has such a life of it's own that you forget you're in a web browser. A great combination of vector and bitmap elements obviously created especially for this site, along with an edgy design style and attitude make this site a fun visit."
