Voyager has teamed up with Internet banking pacesetter the ASB and Microsoft for its new e-commerce solution.
Voyager's new product offers secure credit card authorisation via the ASB and hosting on Microsoft Commerce Server. It brings Voyager into line with Xtra, whose Business Builder service launched early this year. Xtra's product uses the BNZ's Buyline credit card authorisation service and the German-developed Intershop commerce platform.
Michael Farrell, Voyager's General Manager, says card authorisation is carried out at 128-bit encryption.
"Voyager is known for providing the very best in Internet-related services while ASB Bank has always been a leader in banking technology," says Farrell. "For Voyager, the launch represents the culmination of many months' product development ensuring that the service meets the stringent security standards required.
Farrell believes a great attraction of the new solution is that "merchants will not have to position their company or products amongst other shops."
Voyager also offers Live Picture technology enabling merchants to give shoppers the ability to "view all around products".
