Australian, New Zealand COO Resigns from Baan

The Australian and New Zealand chief operating officer of troubled enterprise resource planning (ERP) software specialist Baan Co., Osman Tounjel, has resigned.

The Australian and New Zealand chief operating officer of troubled enterprise resource planning (ERP) software specialist Baan Co., Osman Tounjel, has resigned.

Computerworld understands Baan senior management circulated a memo to employees announcing the resignation on Friday.

Tounjel's resignation follows the announcement by Baan of a US$250 million loss for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 1998, and plans to restate its third quarter results downwards.
