The online registration system built by Wang for this year's Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting has gone live, registering more than 1000 people so far.

Wang built the secure registration system using Cardinal Network's Jade and APEC Task Force IT director Jamie Tevendale says it is the first time APEC has used an online system for registration.

The system is integrated with software developed by Auckland-based Secure ID for the manipulation of digital photographs and print drivers to produce ID badges.

Secure ID director Ian Tozer says the ID badge production is also linked to a closed-circuit TV and video system to provide badges for visitors who turn up to meetings without having pre-registered.
