Clear Net has introduced real-time Internet traffic monitoring for its dedicated-service business customers.
Customers of the Clear ISP “enhanced dedicated access” service can access Web reports on their international traffic usage, viewing graphic representations of inbound and outbound traffic and capacity up to the previous 15 minutes. Until now this information has only been available monthly, says marketing communications manager Ross Inglis.
Clear Net’s enhanced dedicated access service, launched in August last year, is aimed at medium-sized and large businesses that need guaranteed high-quality dedicated access Internet performance.
The monitoring service is designed as an added benefit for these customers, allowing them to monitor when their heaviest international usage occurs. It is based on Auckland University’s NetFlowMet (Network Flow Meter) and Cisco’s NetFlow accounting.
