Even though the number of people who bank online has swelled to more than 6 million over the past year, more than 3 million US adults were so dissatisfied with their experiences that they stopped using their service, according to a survey of 1,000 Internet users and 1,000 non-users released today by Cyber Dialogue, an Internet database marketing company in New York.

According to the study, more than 50% of those who stopped banking online did so because they found the service too complicated, or they were unhappy with the level of customer service. Only 35%of those who discontinued online banking said they would try it again.
