Local currency conversion site clocks quarter million

The locally-developed 1-Click Currency Conversion Web site has displayed its 250,000th currency conversion and is to be available in French, German, Spanish and Italian versions.

The locally-developed 1-Click Currency Conversion Web site has displayed its 250,000th currency conversion.

Mike Pearson, director of developer WYSIWYG Web Design, says almost 75% of the users of the service are from the US, but there has also been interest from a wide range of other countries in the nine months it has been online.

The service was originally developed for WYSIWYG's customer websites, but is now offered as a free service to all comers. Pearson, says WYSIWYG is continuing to build on the interest in the service.

"You need a competitive edge when selling on the Internet, and adding the ability to convert your prices with a single click, allows you to provide a better service to your international customers."

Pearson says the latest project is to offer the service in French, German, Spanish and Italian.

The currency convertor is at www.currency.co.nz.
