Disney 'Net subsidiary loses $1B in '99

Go.com, Walt Disney 's Internet subsidiary, reported a $US1.06 billion loss for 1999, up from $991 million last year.

Go.com, Walt Disney 's Internet subsidiary, reported a $US1.06 billion loss for 1999, up from $991 million last year, according to documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Go.com includes various Disney Internet ventures, including ABC.com, Family.com, the Infoseek search engine and the Go Network Web portal.

Go.com also said it expects its 1999 Internet revenue of $200 million for 1999 to increase at a rate of 45% to 55% in 2000.
