Tech Pacific will be part of the pilot of a $A120 million global online distribution and services hub between its Dutch parent company and another IT giant.
Tech Pacific's parent, Hagemeyer, has awarded a 10,000 user global e-commerce contract to Intentia International, with Intentia Australia to be the prime contractor.
The hub, which will include regional help desks, will involve all Hagemeyer corporate entities with Tech Pacific in New Zealand the location of the pilot.
Hagemeyer says the implementation will streamline distribution, reduce processing costs in the supply chain and offer an increased level of service to customers. Intentia is to use its e-commerce, CRM and ERP solution Movex and trading portal software. It won the deal over SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, IFS and IBS.
