Australia and New Zealand were two of the fastest-growing regions for US-based and Nasdaq-listed software and middleware company BEA in 2000, the company has announced.
Both achieved a 75% growth in sales and turnover doubled to several million dollars in New Zealand. For the fiscal year ended January 31, 2001, BEA reported revenues of $US819.8 million and a pro forma net income per share of $US0.25. This compared to $US464 million in revenues and pro forma net income per share of $US0.11 for fiscal 2000.
BEA says its indirect sales channels such as systems integrators and packaged application developer channels are “ramping faster than expected” and contributed to licensing revenues growing faster than services revenues.
