TMP rebranding for recruitment firms

Job hunting should be less of a monster for some IT professionals after a global rebranding of recruitment firms.

Job hunting should be less of a monster for some IT professionals after a global rebranding of recruitment firms.

TMP Worldwide, owner of Morgan & Banks, Lacey Lee recruitment and Monster.co.nz, is changing the names of its Australian and New Zealand recruitment agencies.

Only the recently taken-over Lacey Lee escapes, at least for the time being, and the worldwide Monster brand.

Morgan & Banks, Lampen Alectus, Cowles Mitchell Beaden and Methven Personnel will all be renamed TMP Worldwide eResourcing.

Morgan & Banks Technology will become TMP's technology recruitment division.

MBT Wellington manager Dale Gray describes the rebranding as "passive" saying TMP has featured on staff businesscards since their January 1999 takeover. He says the name change won't affect services but it will make customers aware they are part of a global operation and help them understand who they are dealing with.

Wellington jobseekers, Gray says, often visit Lampen Alectus before calling in next door at MBT without realising they are part of the same outfit.

"There is no intention to rebrand Lacey Lee in the short term," he adds.
