IT staff are among the 367 Air New Zealand/Ansett Australia employees who have taken voluntary redundancy.
Air New Zealand spokesman Cameron Hill says the merged airline introduced a voluntary severance scheme before Christmas aimed at areas where there was a potential for duplication.
He says there was no target number and the scheme is now closed off. Across New Zealand and Australia the company received 627 applications and accepted 376. In New Zealand it received 90 applications and accepted 45.
Hill says IT staff are included in the figures but declined to separate out the number.
