The world of personal development is moving into the 21st century.

Auckland-based Technology Development Group is producing software to cover a range of issues, in place of traditional tapes.

Owner Brad Houghton says he has invested $40,000 to $50,000 over the past year developing the software covering matters like improving sleep patterns, motivational speakers, confidence in relationships and relaxation techniques.

It includes voice-overs, music and other data that can be downloaded.

Houghton says that in the US a $500 million market exists for his software and a world-renowned author is interested in featuring in it.

He hopes to launch the patented products sometime after Christmas.

Earlier this month, TDG, which also make temperature controlled valves, received a $9728 Enterprise Award from the government to help market the products.
