The Auckland University of Technology has launched a new portal-style website.
The site was nine months in the creation in collaboration with iSITE, and included testing at AUT’s specialised useability lab.
The site features online shops, a streaming student radio station and news content from the New Zealand Herald.
Staff and students across a wide range of departments are expected to develop much of the site’s content, with many faculties to be progressively added over time.
According to AUT the site will both showcase the institution’s range of courses and research to the wider academic community, and provide a resource for prospective and current students.
“We wanted a site that reflected AUT as a dynamic organisation and allowed us to interact, communicate and share information with students,” says IT services director Wendy Bussen.
