IT firms wanting to develop new products may benefit from a new management “kit”.
The “managing for success innovation” kit, developed after a three-year research project by Massey and Auckland universities, looks at barriers to innovation in New Zealand and how they can be overcome. It is aimed at small and medium-sized organisations. The kit, consisting of a workbook and video detailing the strategy and management of three entrepreneurial companies, was funded by the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology.
It is being distributed by the Employers and Manufacturers Association for $60.
