Dear What Am I Worth,

I am a 29-year-old living in Denmark considering moving to New Zealand. I have a diploma in advanced computer studies from Copenhagen Business College (equivalent of a bachelors degree in computer science) and am a certified Lotus professional.

I have one year of experience in programming applications for MS Exchange in Visual Basic at a large international IT corporation and two years of experience in designing and implementing Lotus Domino solutions, primarily in mid-size projects. Besides these technical skills I have a year’s experience in teaching IT-skills to professionals.

I am working as a systems architect/programmer in a Danish e-business consulting firm. My primary functions are designing and implementing Lotus Notes/Domino solutions, often in close contact with the customer.

Great Dane

Robert Walters replies: There is still a demand for CLPs in New Zealand. The e-business aspect of your role is also of interest to the local market. We feel that you would be worth a salary of around $60,000 to $70,000.
