ASB’s new site in Albany, on Auckland’s North Shore, will house some of the bank’s IT staff as well as allow for future growth in its call centre operators.
The bank is still determining the size of its call centre at the site but says the building, which will be rented, could house up to 150 staff.
Work started on the centre early this year, with staff due to move in before Christmas.
ASB says the new building will allow for future growth as well as house some of its IT people who will be transferring from other buildings around Auckland. But the main call centre will remain in Auckland’s Dominion Road.
“We see this as an expansion,” says spokeswoman Barbara Chapman.
