Aimer moves on from Nzoom

TVNZ's online presence, Nzoom, has a new leader following the departure of Simon Aimer.

TVNZ’s online presence, Nzoom, has a new leader following the departure of Simon Aimer.

Aimer has left TVNZ for Rubicon, the former Fletcher Challenge-owned company that describes itself as a “business developer”. He will take up the role of business development director.

Replacing Aimer at Nzoom is head of TV2, Stephen Smith. “Rather than bringing Nzoom under the TV2 umbrella this is a move for Smith,” says Aimer.

Aimer expects Nzoom to continue without any noticeable change for the near future despite the change in leadership and the introduction of cost cutting measures at TVNZ.
