A "virtual expo" website of e-business services and products has received a $100,000 grant from Industry New Zealand.
The portal site, iStart, contains research material on IT companies and has about 42 companies showcasing 60 products and services.
"Seeing the early support of companies such as Microsoft, Clear Communications, Unisys and ASB Bank, meant that Industry New Zealand were proactive about taking part,"says iStart managing director Marty Verry.
Verry says the money will be used to promote iStart as a research hub for e-business in New Zealand.
Lion Nathan regional director Chris Weaver, who has used the site, says as he is not from an IT background he finds it useful to have relevant information in one location.
