In what looks a less than ideal start to a new job, Clear Communications and newly appointed networks head Neil Miranda continues to waffle about his role.
Last week Miranda was still working for the Ministry of Social Policy (MSP), and unwilling to say when, or if, he would transfer to his apparent new position.
Sources say there has been disagreement between Miranda and Clear over his status. The company was under the misapprehension that it was getting his full-time service, while Miranda understood himself to be doing work for Clear through his own company, Nemisys.
Last week both parties were declining to comment on whether there was such a disagreement or misapprehension. Asked whether he still viewed himself as working for Clear at some time in the future, Miranda said “any views I hold will be kept to myself until those views become facts. At present I am working for MSP, and that’s all I want to say.”
Clear spokesman Ralph Little confirms “Neil is completing commitments he has to MSP. Clear is obviously keen that he fulfils these obligations. In terms of our contract with him, like any employment contract, any information relating to it is confidential.”
