Members of AMP’s New Zealand Retirement Trust (NZRT) can access their fund details online, thanks to a service launched by AMP last week.
The trust manages approximately $730 million worth of retirement funds, comprising 15,000 individual accounts administered by 800 employers, ranging from large companies to small businesses.
AMP marketing manager John McMurdo says employees participating in the scheme have indicated they want better access to information about their retirement funds. In the future, AMP is looking to introduce interactive online services, McMurdo says.
The site uses Microsoft's Server Gated Cryptography (SGC) 128-bit encrypted security log-ins and passwords.
AMP spokeswoman Prue Scott declines to comment on the cost of putting the fund details online.
