Despite several emails to the editor bouncing yesterday, one seems to have got through.

"You're with those nice people that said we're 'hot' in their magazine, aren't you?" asks someone allegedly called "John Rowles" from The Kumara, referring to PC World.

"The Kumara is on holiday," writes John, although he doesn't say why the site's front page has been replaced with a picture of an iceberg.

This morning IDGNet ran a story saying the site appeared to be closed with only the iceberg and a quote from the song Parachutes by Coldplay (see The Kumara - gone like a gone thing).

Users can get to other pages if they know the right URL but there are no links from itself.

The listed contact phone number for the domain name owner is actually the number for a sexual health clinic in Auckland.
