Victoria University is upgrading its student administration system over the next four years with Philadelphia-based Systems and Computer Technology Corporation (SCT) software at a cost of $4 million. It will upgrade from version 1.1 to version 5.
In a statement, Vice Chancellor Professor Stuart McCutcheon says the system will provide a total online environment for both students and staff. The system has the potential for online fees payment, easier enrolment and will allow students online access to academic records.
The upgrade will take place in two stages, the student enrolment installation starting this month and finishing in May 2002, and the next being completed by 2003-04.
The university is also upgrading its Oracle financials system with the latest version of Oracle’s applications suite, 11i.
