Eight-month-old medical and scientific supplies marketplace Onezone has been scuttled.
Launched by Auckland-based scientific supplies company Biolab Scientific, the Ariba-based marketplace was last reported to have 22 suppliers and eight customers, including the University of Auckland.
But this afternoon Biolab Scientific head Bruce McKinnon has announced the demise of the marketplace, with the loss of 12 jobs.
Onezone head Catherine Calarco told Computerworld six weeks ago, when Ariba announced the closure of its New Zealand office, that it was “business as usual” for the marketplace.
The marketplace was an extension of an earlier online selling effort by the company, called Biolab Direct.
